The petition language to amend CCR 5.2.26 is the exact same language we have currently in our CCRs with the exception of the references to 5.2.26.1 where we permit chickens according to Pima County laws. None of the original text has been removed or otherwise edited.

5.2.26 Animals. Except as set forth in 5.2.26.1 below, no animal, livestock, poultry or fowl of any kind other than a reasonable number of generally recognized house pets, shall be maintained on or in any Lot and then only if they are kept or raised thereon solely as domestic pets and not for commercial purposes. No house pets (or animals covered under 5.2.26.1 below) shall be permitted to make an unreasonable amount of noise or create a nuisance. No structure for the care, housing or confinement of any permitted pet (or animals covered under 5.2.26.1 below) shall be Visible From Neighboring Property. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no permitted pets (or animals covered under 5.2.26.1 below) may be kept on or in any Lot which result in an annoyance to other Owners or Occupants in the vicinity. All permitted pets shall be leashed when not on a Lot owned by the pet’s owner or on which the pet's owner is a Tenant, guest or invitee. Persons walking pets shall carry a "pooper scooper" (a hand held shovel or other instrument designed for removing animal excrement from the ground) with them at all times and shall remove the pet's excrement from the Covered Property.

No slaughter of animals is permitted. See 5.2.26 for additional applicable restrictions and requirements relevant to chickens.
